Client Love

I came to Liz's training as a clinical hypnotherapist — I'd already trained with another school and built a successful practice, but I felt like something was missing. Specifically, I wanted to deepen my skills with somatics, breathwork, and holding space for the huge emotions that can arise in sessions. I wanted to take my presence and embodiment of the work to the deepest level, and I felt Liz was the person to do it with.

I was right. Liz is a master at holding space. I truly believe that anyone could come to her with any challenge, no matter how painful, and she could hold it with the strength, presence, and groundedness of a thousand-year-old redwood.

Witnessing her skill and learning the techniques with her feels more like a true apprenticeship than being in a "class" or "program." And the personal healing I've experienced through the work we've done has been mindblowing... we're talking long-standing triggers that have simply vanished. If you are someone who wants to go deep, deep, deep with your clients to excavate trauma and limiting beliefs, I can't think of a better guide than Liz. She is embodied, clear, ethical, authentic, heart-centered, and so damn good at what she does. You will walk out of this container forever changed, with the tools and knowledge to be an exceptional practitioner.

The Caterpillar

by Dr. Shefali Tsabary

“The caterpillar, on its way to divinity and brilliance,

endures a gruesome death.

It disintegrates onto itself.

It dies onto itself.

It sheds and eviscerates into its own being

and lends itself into an inchoate, nebulous, ambiguous, amorphous mess, but don’t be fooled.

There is high order processing taking place within this goop.

And then eventually, what comes to be

is the supreme intelligence,

the divine masterpiece that we call a butterfly.

A butterfly who doesn't sit in its egoic majesty for too long,

just for a few weeks, and then it dies.

Now if this isn’t a supreme metaphor that nature has given us,

A peek into the laws of universe itself,

the laws that govern all that exists,

That pivots the foundation beneath which our existence lies.

That life and death are inextricably one

and often concomitant, successive, sometimes just a hair’s breadth between life and death.

It teaches us that life is intelligent.

It is interdependent.

And it is, whether you like it or not, impermanent.

Most of all the journey of the caterpillar, the butterfly, teaches us that change will occur,

But only after a shocking metamorphosis and definitely an absolute death.

Death not maybe of the physical self, but certainly a death of the false self.

In the caterpillar's case, its outer layers.

In our case, our false self.

The self that we believe is us, but no, it is a representation.

It is an inauthentic part of ourselves.

The caterpillar’s journey teaches us that disintegration is pivotal on its way to transformation.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE JOURNEY OF THE CATERPILLAR TO THE BUTTERFLY IS A BEAUTIFUL METAPHOR FOR THE DEEP INNER WORK THAT WE DO AT GOWITHIN INSTITUTE.

We go deep within to have an inner metamorphosis and transformation into the magnificent butterfly that is already within and wanting to emerge forth. But first, there is a deconstruction, a disintegration, of the false self that was built upon survival, fear, trauma, pain, and more. We must give up this old self in order to step into our most authentic and liberated version of ourselves. Are you ready??

It's worth the journey.
